(MALTA)-GOZO-MALTA OPEN WATER SWIMMING COMPETITION 2012

The official event entry form and the Disclaimer (both available on this website), including the payments and medical certificates, should be forwarded to the organizers by not later than Saturday, 4^th August 2012.  Late applications will carry an additional fee of €15.00, while no applications will be accepted after the 11^th August, 2012.

The pre-race meeting will be held on Thursday, 16^th August 2012 at the Town Hall of the Mosta Local Council starting at 7:00 p.m.

Local swimmers need to qualify in order to take part in any of the channel swims, as per Regulations para. 4 (iii) (a) and (b) in the case of the Gozo-Malta swim, and as per para. 4 (ii), (iii) and (iv) in the case of the Malta-Gozo-Malta Swim.

Individual swimmers and group swimmers must be accompanied by an escort motor boat, which should be at least 13 feet long, but not longer than 25 feet.  The Club may be able to help participants who are finding a problem in hiring out a boat and a skipper.

Applicants are urged to follow strictly the events’ regulations, in order to avoid having their entry form rejected by the Club’s Swimming Board.
